How does a skill adapt to my business?
You don’t need a different download for every product type or brand. The skill uses the business details you provide and asks for relevant missing information before making promises or filling in important facts.
First, introduce your business
Tell it your business name, what you sell or offer, who your customers are, your preferred language and your tone: warm, polished, playful or direct. Paste an existing product description, client message or website excerpt if that’s easier.
For example: “I sell personalised candles in Dubai. My customers buy gifts. Use warm, straightforward English. Here are my product details and delivery policy.”
Then, give it the job
A product listing needs materials, dimensions and care instructions. A service proposal needs your package, prices and terms. A customer reply needs the enquiry and the relevant policy. If something essential is missing, the skill should ask you rather than invent it.
Brand colours and logos are useful when you request a visual document. They aren’t needed for a text reply.
Keep your profile for next time
Ask your AI to summarise your business details into a “My business profile” document. Check it, then save it in your own ChatGPT or Claude project and use that project for future tasks. Installing a skill does not automatically save or remember your business across every chat.
You can also start with: “Before using this skill, ask me the questions you need to understand my business and this task. Ask a few at a time.”
Review prices, dates, promises and translations before using the result. Remove unnecessary customer names, phone numbers and other personal information from examples. If a skill doesn’t activate, check that it’s enabled and request it by name.
